Women of Influence
The world doesn’t need more cookies. It needs more love; more of YOU!
This remains a repeating and consistent reminder each day within the walls of Sweet Humanity Kitchen. Everyone has a story, no matter where you are from. Food tells a part of that story. Food is undoubtedly apart of that story.
Whether we have much or little, we share a human story. Yet, in our scheduled, high-pressure lives, we rarely take time to be human. We chase the fallacy of balance and seek validation elsewhere, forgetting that rest is found in the pause—in sitting with our emotions. Food is deeply emotional, and trying to disconnect the two is a mistake. Cooking is a journey through our past and a hope for our future. That is why Sweet Humanity Kitchen exists: to tell stories through food.
Each gift you receive tells a story of a powerful woman. A powerful, beautiful human being. I hope you take time to pause, rest, and smile as you enjoy a taste of humanity!
Alicia Gavin’s Journey Home

A Song For Alicia
Written By God (Abba) Given by God Rapha
Take Me Home
to the memories i don't remember
To the sorrow that reminded me I was alive
to the sadness that melted my heart
So that I can remember our smiles. When we danced on the waves together.
to the sound of the bird song.
to the taste of strawberry cake on a summer day.
Take me back home in the hammock, alone with Adonai,
I hear the waves.
Swinging back and forth; I can see the waves
A piece of creation; the beauty and grandeur of the ocean.
Somehow in it all, I long for South Carolina.
The only place i called home, till You call me home, Abba.
Bring me back to what I remember, so that I can remember.
I will journey the pain.
I will cry the tears to meet you in Mimi’s kitchen.
To remember an ounce of joy from the one my heart mourns.
Ill go there. Ill go there with you, Abba.
Bring me back home so that I may see the color of the new sunrise.
I want to sing new songs.
I want to dance on the waves with my babies and enjoy strawberry cake with my better half.
Swinging back and forth on the hammock; seeing you in the beauty of your creation.
The waves.

There is simply nothing like this Southern Ramen Soup Mix. Think South Carolina meets Louisiana and they both fall in love with Asian cuisine! This beautiful combination reflects the heart of Alicia’s story and her love and respect for flavors Ramen!
How to Use It
A little goes a long way with this mix:
For 1 Bowl of Ramen Soup: Use 1 tablespoon of mix per 1.5–2 cups of boiling water.
For "Dry" Southern Ramen: Drain the water, toss noodles with 1 tbsp butter, and use only 2 teaspoons of the mix.
Don’t forget to add your favorites! Chicken, shrimp, lobster, veggies, all the things!
Tip: This mix is is heavy on the savory. If you prefer a slightly sweeter ramen we suggest adding brown sugar a tsp at a time.

Named after Margaret Elaine “Laney” Comoletti (aka Mimi), this strawberry cookie represents just a small portion of the kindness, love, and safety she brought to her family. While she didn’t leave many recipes behind (she was a baker from the heart), Alicia can still taste the richness of her Southern strawberry cake. We hope that you enjoy this special gift as we pay homage to her legacy.
Madi’s New Beginnings
-
Madi is wise, and she’s just now truly discovering what that word truly means when you have received that gift from the Lord.
Her life’s story represents one of grit, will, and a heart to keep going. She is your calm in the chaos. She is your smile in the storm. She is the thunder when it’s lightening. She is a lions roar.
Madi is a one of a kind gift from God. Today she is enjoying this journey of wisdom as she celebrates new beginnings with one of the greatest gifts the Lord can give, a child.
-
Madi is the calm in the storm AND the roar of a lion! This spice is a perfect reflection of them both (plus she loves spicy foods.)
Like the rare gem she is, this Latin Spice, is not a typical blend you will find on any store shelf. This spice contains Guatemalan Cobanero Chili Pepper and Brazilian Pink Peppercorns creating a uniquely beautiful hot spice.
Cobanero Peppers: These are highly spicy and often have a smoky profile. If fresh, you can roast or bake them to develop a sweet, smoky puree for marinades. For a dry spice blend, they must be fully dehydrated until they "snap" before grinding into a powder.
Pink Peppercorns: These are delicate and soft. Avoid using a traditional pepper mill, as they can clog it. Instead, crush them with the back of a spoon or the flat side of a knife to preserve their aromatic oils.
Toasting: Lightly toast the peppercorns in a dry pan for 1–2 minutes until fragrant to deepen their nutty flavor.
Erma Looney’s Legacy
-
My grandmother, Erma Looney, represents the story of a sweet humanity. This kitchen exists in her honor.
She raised 3 generations in the same little home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While my immediate family had a place of our own, most of my childhood was spent at the feet of my grandmother and grandfather learning about Jesus, mathematics, and the artistry of cooking and baking. That tiny 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with the smallest square footage of a kitchen felt like a mansion to me because it was filled with rich tradition, love, and compassion. Every single wall was lined with a photo of her children, her children’s children, and her children’s children’s children.
She taught me everything I needed to know about the kitchen from a young age.
One thing I will never forget:
I won’t trust any recipe that doesn’t call for vanilla.
Thanks to you Granny, I am inspired to create the best vanilla’s anyone will ever taste around the world.
I am grateful to make you proud as you praise with Jesus.
-
The vanilla’s are unique creations made with vanilla beans from Uganda, Madagascar, and Tahiti. If you are gifted with a vanilla, take a smell of it and see if you can smell any hints of spring, cinnamon, coffee, or even just the simplicity of beautiful rich vanilla.
If you see anything floating in your bottle, we left you a gift! That is a who vanilla bean. When you are done you can place that yummy bean in some sugar for some amazing vanilla sugar!
Ashley Renee’s New Song
-
Have you ever believed in your 5, 10 year plan? You knew exactly what the Lord said about your life and you felt you were on the trajectory towards a place you could see?
Then God tell you, you're distracted? Just me? That is my story. From corporate boardrooms to full time ministry, near studies, and baking.
All in service of saying yes to the Lord.
Healing, mending, and restoring a broken world is my purpose. and I am so blessed to be singing my new song!

This season of my life we are learning what it’s like to be fully and completely dependent on Adonai. He gives us our manna in the morning and our quail in the evening.
This Powerhouse of a granola will give you everything you need to have an amazing start to your week.
packed with chia seeds, goji berries, honey powder, dried persimmon, and a tiny tiny hint of espresso powder.
-
Waste not, want not!
Granny would always take the crust that I peel off of my white bread, look at me, eat it and say “Baby, this is the best part of the bread!”
What she was really saying is that no matter what it looks like, or even taste like, it’s still worth saving.
I save EVERYTHING. Thanks to her, this delicious sugar made from whole partially spent vanilla beans and organic Ceylon cinnamon sticks, you have a sugar you cannot deny!
Dr. Cheryl Polote Williamson’s Gift of Kindness to Humanity
-
I remember walking up to Dr. Cheryl and asking her if she could teach me how to love people the way she does. Not from a heart posture, but from a capacity perspective. She loves people deeply, by name, for who they are.
Being led by the Holy Spirit, she offered to coach me for free for a year. a single year that changed the trajectory of my life. What I learned was that I didn’t lack the capacity to love other people, I lacked true love for myself. Confidence in who I was truly in Christ. The more I fell in love with me, the more I gained the capacity to love people exactly where they were. This is a legacy that will pay forward to generations beyond my life. What an incredibly special woman Dr. Cheryl is.
